About the event
On February 17, 2025, Pioneer Bible Translators will host a Trauma Care Convening Session at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Sixteen Banyamulenge participants, along with missionaries, will gather to explore how scripture-based trauma healing can support their community. Using resources from the Trauma Healing Institute, this program aims to train leaders to facilitate healing groups. Discussions will address generational and gender-based trauma differences, challenges in family reunification, and the ongoing impact of displacement. This session marks the beginning of a long-term healing initiative, with the first trauma care groups set to launch in April.
